Privacy Policy

How FlowPick handles data in the browser extension, local web tools, website analytics, accounts, and optional cloud transfers.

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Scope

This policy covers the FlowPick browser extension, the tools on flowpick.net, and the optional account and cloud-transfer services. These parts work differently, so their data handling is described separately below.

Browser extension

The extension detects media requests and processes supported downloads on your device. It does not include Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, advertising SDKs, or an extension-specific telemetry service.

The extension may store preferences and a temporary list of detected media in browser storage. Media processing stays in the browser unless you explicitly choose a cloud-transfer option on flowpick.net.

Local web tools

File converters, trimmers, analyzers, and the normal browser download workflow are designed to process media locally. Files selected for these local tools are not uploaded to FlowPick.

Some tools must request a source URL directly from its host. That host can receive the normal connection information associated with the request, such as your IP address and request headers.

Website analytics

Flowpick.net may load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity when their site configuration is enabled. These services can receive technical and usage information such as page views, device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interaction data.

FlowPick uses this information to understand site reliability and improve navigation. The website does not use analytics to record the media files you process in local tools.

Accounts and cloud transfers

An account is optional. If you sign in, FlowPick receives the email address and account identifier supplied by the selected sign-in provider and stores the records needed to maintain your session, plan, quota, rewards, and transfer history.

A cloud transfer begins only after you choose that option and submit a source. FlowPick then processes the source URL and the minimum request context needed for that task. The service stores task status, file metadata, usage totals, and the prepared output for the retention period shown in the account interface. Cloud transfers are not local processing.

Do not submit private links, credentials, cookies, authorization headers, or media that you are not permitted to process.

Cookies and local storage

FlowPick uses browser storage for preferences and temporary workflow data. Signed-in services use a secure session cookie. Analytics providers may set or read their own identifiers when analytics is enabled.

Service providers

FlowPick relies on infrastructure and services that may process limited data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare for site delivery, security checks, account APIs, and cloud-transfer infrastructure
  • Google or GitHub when you choose one of them to sign in
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity when website analytics is enabled
  • The source host when a tool requests a public media URL

Their handling of data is also governed by their own privacy terms.

Retention and control

Local extension data can be cleared from FlowPick settings or the browser's extension controls. You can sign out to end the current account session. Cloud outputs expire according to the date shown with each task. Operational and security records may be kept for a limited period when needed to run and protect the service.

To ask about account data or request deletion, use the contact options below. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner.

Children

FlowPick is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.

Changes

When this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Material changes will be described on the site when appropriate.
