Who writes here
FlowPick is an open-source project. The source code is at github.com/ezwebtools/flowpick, and the browser extension is published on the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons, where release dates and version history can be checked.
The guides, tool descriptions, release notes and troubleshooting pages on this site are written by the people who build and test the extension. It is a small group, and pages are published under the project name rather than personal bylines.
What we cover
- Documentation for each tool: what it accepts, what it refuses, and where it fails
- Notes on containers and codecs: HLS, DASH, MP4, WebM, TS and the audio formats behind them
- Troubleshooting drawn from problems we ran into ourselves
- Release notes for each version
- Comparisons with command-line tools such as yt-dlp
We write about behaviour we have observed. When something has not been tested on a given device or format, the page says so instead of guessing.
How the work is checked
Facts, screenshots and stated limits are checked against a real run before publishing. Translations are compared with the English original by a person, which is also why some languages are not indexed yet.
Corrections and contact
Open an issue on GitHub for anything technical, or use the contact page. If a page is wrong, tell us which one and what you expected to see; we correct it in place and update the date at the top.
